So… “What’s considered a witch?”
A witch is, by tradition, religion and folklore, someone wielding harmful magic—making pacts with dark forces to sabotage or kill. G8Way will be a bit more descriptive, here. When uttering the word 'witch', the speaker is wishing to describe a surly, deplorable Jezebel-like wench who is a spiritually deprived, violent human vermin —she's not only painted as mentally repulsive but also as a morally corrupt selfish hog consumed by envy and hatred and will viciously sabotage with reckless homicidal intent. This is societies supposed spot-on definition of a WITCH; no matter the era.
The Bible says: “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry…” (1 Samuel 15:22-23, KJV) Cool. So, being rebellious is now witch-level bad. Got it. 🙄
The Quran mirrors this sentiment, advising the faithful to steer clear of those who practice sorcery.
Judaism and Kabbalah? Same vibes—just fancier names and deeper mysticism (but that’s another rabbit hole for another day, lmfao).
These Abrahamic religions don’t just "warn" against witchcraft—they flat-out demonize it, despite offering zero verified proof of its danger beyond, “God said so.” That’s not divine wisdom. That’s fear-based PR. It's the spiritual equivalent of a smear campaign, not unlike attack ads between rival fast-food joints. Only instead of burgers, it's souls and eternal damnation on the menu.
• According to scholars and dictionaries:
Someone believed to use supernatural power—often for malicious ends.
• According to 20th-century neopagans (Wiccans):
A spiritual practitioner of earth-based rituals, magic, and personal empowerment.
• According to G8Way's depiction: "What is a 'witch' "?
A Bonafide witch is utilitarian, cunning, conniving and civil, for the most part. Oftentimes than not, a witch will don a fresh appearance that speaks before she utters a word. A witches presence says "BOOYAH!" Whereas a Jezebel is immoral and malicious, violent and has a repulsive mentality— one who corresponds with unnatural and disingenuous characteristics. The latter are always usually referred to as "those mother f*ckers be on that other shit."
Here’s the truth: Witches won’t combust when quoted scripture. They won’t melt, vanish, or beg for mercy when confronted with verses. That’s theatrics, not real life. These absurd beliefs are the kindling that fuels centuries of ignorance. And if history’s any indicator, it’s only a matter of time before someone claims witches bleed acid and explode on contact. FML 😂
In sum: A witch can be a dangerous villain; someone responsible for sabotage; is envious, loathsome, filthy, homicidal and believed to channel dark supernatural powers to enact these horrors and there is currently no instantaneous magical reset button (nor has there ever been.) This ain't the movies. Again: there are no magic words, hymns, psalms, or spells that’ll make a witch do a 180°. None. Ever. Anywhere. Period. All witches are essentially alchemists working with what can be obtained from apothecaries and botanicas. Jezebels? Those are "the others".
They say the best way to explain something that you do not wish to repeat is to make damn sure it's understood the first time around." With that stated, let's get this over with once and for all.
